Middlesbrough 2-3 Sunderland — xTears 14.64 (03/02/25)

Sunderland came back to win 2-3 against Middlesbrough on 3 February 2025 during Matchday 30 of EFL Championship. Total damage: 14.64 xTears.

The real swing for Sunderland arrived through D. Neil 33' goal (+1.24 xT) and W. Isidor 51' goal (+1.52 xT), the sequence that changed who owned the match.

The match changed hands after the first blow, and Sunderland's comeback ended up outweighing the opening phase. The pain was self-inflicted, and it stung: own goal (R. Giles at 87').
